Well many newbie are not knowing about permalinks and hence they fail to drive targeted traffic to their blogs. To new blogger custom permalinks are like a complex task to complete, even many of newbie are never bothered about it due less experience rather less knowledge about custom urls. Let me expain what actual permalinks works for bloggers, when you start writing a post with some topic blog will automatically generates a default url which is quite simple and likely to be random.
Here one thing i need to tell you about default url generation is it has some limits and whatever the topic you select there is likely to select half of that topic which make total zero sense to the search engines. This fianlly results no meaning for search engine and fail to index. So to over come this here i thought of writing this post on how to manage your post urls with proper meaning and search engine friendly !
This post helps for blogspot bloggers to generate SEO friendly urls for their posts. Basically when you start writing a post as i expained it'll generates some garbage url so to edit this url and make it meaningful, you need to do some settings before publishing your post, here in the bellow figure look at the red box in that observe green arrow mark, usually after clicking on link their are two radio buttons in which by default it is selected to Automatic. To change your url for custominzaton you need to select Custom button then in the box provided bellow you need to type your customized and SEO friendly name without space using dashes in between the words then hit done button provided bellow.
Remember you need to use high ranked keywords here so that search engines should love to index it and this should be relevant to your post/article.That's it !
Now the problem is with published posts ! here you'll not find radio buttons to customize urls, so to do this you need to revert your published post to Draft and then edit it . Now go to post setting, here you'll find that custom radio button and go for customization. That's it all done !
